Name (and CTG nickname): Jillian Green, “Wyvankaye”
What do you do at CTG?
I’m the head of the software development department, which consists of me. So I write the code, maintain the servers, do some of the website work, and make sure my team isn’t slacking off (gotta keep me accountable). So far, we have some custom internal tools that I’ve written to help us link up various programs we are using, keep track of inventory, and get orders filled. I also generally help out with anything tech-related.
How long have you been with CTG?
I started in March of 2019, so about a year and a half.
Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m into gardening, video games, traveling, grouse hunting, scuba diving, and playing ping pong. I have two cats, a dog, and a freshwater fish tank. I’m trying to learn Italian this year, and my husband and I are currently working on a 6,000-piece jigsaw puzzle.
What did you do before you came to CTG?
I still worked in web development, at a company that provided website-building services.
What’s your favorite part of working at CTG?
The people are pretty great, but also, I had never really ventured into the world of board gaming before. I’ve fallen in love with it, and I’m grateful for the chance to jump headfirst into such a fun, enthusiastic culture.
What’s your favorite CTG game, and why?
This one is tough for me. Too Many Bones is the game that stole my heart, and I wasn’t even really that interested in Cloudspire when it was released, since I prefer co-op games (otherwise, my husband always beats me. It’s infuriating). But then, Cloudspire was just SO fun, now I can’t decide which is my favorite. Cloudspire is the game where I get to the end, probably lose, and immediately demand another playthrough. It’s that addicting. TMB has such satisfying moments, though, like when you barely pull off a an epic battle that you were sure you would lose. I’m not choosing. It’s my right to have two favorites.
